Here you can see the outer arch repair panel plug welded into place. The outer edge, where it meets the original bodywork, has a recessed flange worked into it to help achieve a flush fit.

After the problems I experienced with the other wheelarch, I ensured the panels were a true flat join with the aid of self-tapping screws, large washers and a steel ruler!
