The eBay engine that I originally put into the car was never really much good, it always blew oil out of the dipstick tube and not even fitting a vented catch tank helped much. When I did a compression check I found cylinders 2 & 3 were down on compression, a leakdown test showed this to be due to blow-by past the pistons, instead of a blown head gasket. The plugs show 1 & 4 to be burning well, 2 & 3 are oil fouled.
